একথা শুনে শলোমন তাঁর মাকে বললেন, “তুমি শুধু অবীশগকেই আদোনিয়র হাতে তুলে দিতে বলছ কেন? তার চেয়ে বলো না কেন, ওকেই এবার রাজা করে দিই| হাজার হোক ও আমার বড় ভাই, যাজক অবিয়াথর ও য়োয়াবও ওকে সমর্থন করবে|”
